Job Summary and Opportunity

As the Payroll Analyst, you will be primarily responsible for maintaining and reconciling general ledgers, analyzing various payroll journal entries, preparing monthly payroll analysis reports to management and various duties related to bi-weekly payroll processing in ADP Workforce Now. You will also be responsible for assisting with the stock plan administration in Equity Edge.

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for maintaining and reconciling payroll related general ledgers and cash accounts
  • Book and analyze various payroll journal entries
  • Assist with administration of company restricted stock units within Equity Edge: grant awards, vesting, and book related accounting entries
  • Report monthly/quarterly payroll analysis to management
  • Responsible for maintaining and reconciling equity related general ledgers and share counts
  • Assist with processing of multi-state bi-weekly payroll for 6 companies for 1400+ employees
  • Review payroll tax notices - determine action needed to resolve the issue and submit to ADP Smart Compliance, monitor tax notices through completion
  • Assist with quarterly and year end payroll audits
  • Payroll and benefits related accruals and reconciling sub-ledger to general ledger
  • Analytical, technical, administrative and project management support as it relates to stock plan, benefits, payroll, reporting and compliance measures
  • Look for ways to automate processes and controls by leveraging the functionality in ADP WFN and other software
  • Assist with all audits including but not limited to SOX, 401(k) and Workers Comp
  • Create and run reports using ADP Custom Reporting
  • Maintain strict confidentiality of sensitive information

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree, equivalent experience, or CPP certified
  • 3+ years' multi-state payroll processing and accounting functions
  • Stock plan administration
  • Experience with ADP Workforce Now, Time & Attendance Etime and ADP Custom Reporting
  • Communication skills, both written and verbal, in addition to strong problem-solving skills
  • Strong Microsoft Office skills (Excel)
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, positive attitude, flexibility, and willingness to learn
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
