Job Summary and Opportunity

As an Axos Fiduciary Services Product Owner, you will be responsible for oversight and maintenance of Unity Bankruptcy Case Administration product roadmap initiatives, writing requirements, client communications related to new product deployments, and internal maintenance of SDLC and UAT. We are giving Unity a makeover by building a completely new UI and adding many new features to solve the problems faced by bankruptcy trustees today! This role will be joining a product team that is responsible for gathering and writing requirements, product design, hosting product events and focus groups, and managing expectations of and communication to clients and stakeholders. This is a great opportunity for someone with experience as an analyst or in the bankruptcy field who is looking to move into a product management role. This position is onsite at our Overland Park, KS office.


  • User/Market research
  • Write Feature requirements
  • Collaborate with UX Team on UI/UX design
  • Write detail requirements and acceptance criteria (user stories)
  • Manage/prioritize backlog
  • Backlog refinement with development team
  • Clarify requirements/answer questions during sprints
  • User acceptance testing
  • Write feature description content for release notes
  • Collaborate with other product owners
  • Triage issues


  • 2+ years’ as a product owner for a software/application development company, preferably in the financial industry
  • Competence in Agile principles, SCRUM, Kanban
  • Ability to work on future feature requirements while managing current feature development
  • Identify problems and ideate/collaborate on solutions
  • Ability to work directly with internal and external stakeholders
  • Associate's degree or higher in a related field
  • Professional certification
  • Experience with DevOps or Aha!
