    The primary responsibilities of the Senior Systems Voice Engineer will include:

     

    • Configuration of Cisco voice infrastructure utilizing Cisco Provisioning Manager
    • Configuration of Cisco Unity Connection Voicemail system
    • Assembly, installation and configuration of Cisco voice and network equipment
    • Planning, implementation and management of Cisco Jabber, Meeting Place and Meeting Place Express
    • Work with other IT team members to fulfill a Cisco Voice Engineer role, and schedule and prioritize activities on projects involving the deployment of application and software
    • Manage an IP Telephony refresh and rollout of VoIP phones across the enterprise
    • Documentation and evaluation of existing Voice and Data infrastructure
    • Planning, design and implementation of major Voice and Data network upgrades
    • Participate in office relocations, expansions, and other infrastructure changes
    • Work closely with OCEO to support any technical evaluations of telephony-related technologies
    • Assist in the design and development of network implementations
    • Perform all required operational maintenance and troubleshooting of supported systems
    • Evaluate and test software changes and updates supplied by vendors, prior to installation
    • Work with vendors, application developers, database administrators, corporate IT, and other technology groups to resolve any problems
    • Conduct routine hardware and software audits of all supported systems to ensure compliance with established standards, policies, procedures, and requirements
    • Maintain proper change management documentation for all hardware and software modifications
    • Develop and implement standards and operating procedures
    • Provide reliable 24/7 support for all the facilities within client's service territory
    • Load balancing configuration, management, security and deployments with BiglP FS and A10 Network Products

    Knowledge/experience implementing and supporting the following technologies:

    • Routing protocols BGP, OSPF, & EIGRP
    • Layer 2 protocols RSTP and vPC
    • Cisco DMVPN, IPSEC,SSL VPN, GRE
    • Network monitoring and troubleshooting tools - SolarWinds, PRTG, Cisco Prime, Wireshark
    • Cisco routers 3900/4000/ASR series routers
    • Cisco Catalyst switches – 3750,3850, 4500, 6500
    • Cisco Nexus switches - 2K, 5K, 7K, 9K
    • DNS, SNMP, RADIUS, TACACS ,SYSLOG
    • Access control list (ACLs), VRF, Port Security, Traffic Shaping, Priority Queuing, Class of Service (CoS), Quality of Service (QoS) and IP routing
    • WAN and LAN connectivity technologies
    • Load Balancer (LTM/GTM) technologies
    • WAN Acceleration technologies

    Desired Career Experience & Education Requirements:

    • 5+ years' relevant working experience
    • Extensive knowledge of subnetting
    • Solid understanding of routing protocols BGP, OSPF, & EIGRP
    • Solid understanding of layer 2 protocols RSTP and vPC
    • High School diploma

    Preferred:

    • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related field
    • CCNP and/or CCNA
