    The IR/Loan Accounting Analyst generally performs duties related to investor reporting, loan accounting, GL and bank account reconciliations, SBO remittance management, and FRB/FHLB pledging processes.

     

    • Ensuring compliance with investor guidelines and regulatory requirements
    • Following investor guidelines for performing timely remittances and managing segregation of funds
    • Completing Investor account reconciliations
    • Completing daily and monthly GL/Bank account reconciliations
    • Following Accounting guidelines and rules for managing GL accounts
    • Creation and documentation of related process maps and procedures
    • Management and reporting on loans serviced by others for the bank
    • Preparing monthly pledging reports for the Federal Home Loan Bank and Federal Reserve Bank
    • Streamline processes and establish controls to verify data Is accurate
    • Assist in the Bank's continuous improvement efforts

    Key Skill Sets or Knowledge Requirements:

    • Loan servicing, accounting, or loan accounting experience
    • Strong analytical and problem solving skills
    • Exceptional verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills with the ability to apply common sense to carry out instructions
    • The ability to train personnel in your assigned duties, write reports, draft correspondence and procedures, and speak clearly to customers and employees
    • Excellent organizational and time management skills with a strong attention to detail and the ability to multitask and prioritize tasks/projects
    • Experience, knowledge and training in bank operational activities and terminology; specifically mortgage lending
    • Skills in PC operation, including: word processing, spreadsheet and specialty software programs.
    • Intermediate typing skills to meet production needs of the position
    • Ability to deal with complex problems involving multiple facets and variables in non-standardized situations
    • Ability to work with minimal supervision while performing duties

    Desired Career Experience & Education Requirements:

    • Associates degree from an accredited college or university, with a concentration in accounting, finance, business administration, or economics

    Preferred:

    • Bachelor's degree
    • Experience performing reporting for a third party
    • Knowledge of Jack Henry Banking system
