    The Business Continuity Analyst position assists in developing, maintaining, and implementing business continuity and disaster recovery strategies and solutions including risk assessments, business impact analyses, strategy selection, and documentation of business continuity and disaster recovery procedures. This role is also responsible for planning, conducting, and debriefing regular disaster recovery exercises to test the adequacy of existing plans and strategies, updating procedures and plans regularly.


    Job Duties Include:

    • Assist in the review, development and administration of policies and procedures for BCP, and others as requested, to implement BCP strategy
    • Ensure change / revision / version control procedures are effective. Review deliverables for accuracy. Provide assistance and mentoring to internal departments
    • Development, coordination and maintenance of the Business Continuity Plan
    • Manage business continuity planning projects and activities
    • Facilitate the collection and maintenance of the Bank’s BIA and BCP documentation in accordance with bank regulatory and industry guidance for BCP
    • Participate in BCP business impact analysis (BIA), risk assessment, plan documentation, BCP / DR test exercise and scenario facilitation
    • Coordinate BCP disaster recovery (DR) testing and test issues follow-up, as life-cycle activities
    • Keep current with FFIEC, and SEC regulatory and industry guidance and requirements, trends and technological innovations in the banking and IT industry, and make recommendations
    • Maintain knowledge and awareness of financial industry technical status, trends, and regulatory requirements
    • Work closely with project team to continually update plan with new projects, software,etc. and to ensure the redundancy is built in as new project or software is implemented
    • Foster and maintain strong, cooperative relationships with internal and external customers and participants in BCP / DR activities

    Key Skill Sets or Knowledge Requirements:

    • Experience with BCP processes including, BIA, plan creation and testing
    • Familiarity with IT Governance and FFIEC guidelines
    • Excellent  communication skills
    • Intermediate computer and Microsoft Office skills
    • Ability to work with no supervision while performing duties



    Desired Career Experience & Education Requirements:

    • 1+ years experience with BCP processes and activities
    • Bachelor’s degree or substitute work experience
