    Primary responsibilities include:

    • Integral team member of credit risk review team that independently tests lending department adherence to banking policies and industry-standard credit processes
    • Using a risk-based approach, perform reviews of the bank's assets, portfolios and credit risk management processes in order to evaluate  asset quality, as well as strengths and weaknesses inherent in lending policies, procedures, and practices
    • Evaluate and classify the Bank's assets on a regular basis in a manner consistent with the classification system utilized by the federal regulators
    • Knowledgeable and well-versed about most Axos loan products
    • Work closely with Senior Management in the Credit Department and the lending and investment business units, fostering good relations and high internal customer satisfaction
    • Recommend well-supported changes to underwriting, monitoring and other credit risk management standards, as appropriate
    • Provide support and assistance on ERM processes, including reviewing Risk Assessments
    • Construct, maintain and deliver various ad-hoc reports for Senior Management and the Board
    • Assist with loan review and loan discussion aspects of regulatory examinations
    • Support continuous team process improvement initiatives

    Key Skill Sets or Knowledge Requirements:

    • Strong analytical and logic skills, including the ability to differentiate risks, derive sound conclusions and formulate constructive arguments
    • Ability to manage multiple and/or shifting priorities, and produce professional and accurate work product, under time constraints
    • Creative problem-solving skills and intuitive risk-identifying abilities
    • Team Management experience
    • Excellent oral and written communication skills, including strong listening and debate skills
    • Strong computer skills including all MS Office systems

    Desired Career Experience & Education Requirements:

    • 5+ years experience in a similar financial services role and multiple years of experience as a Bank Credit Analyst, Loan Officer, Consulting, Bank Credit Risk Review role or equivalent role
    • Meaningful experience with complex commercial credit (structured finance, leveraged lending, asset-based lending, structured settlement discounting, factoring, etc.), retail credit

    • Bachelor's Degree


    • Deep experience with Credit Products across multiple asset classes within Large Banks 
    • All real estate loan products experience
    • Formal education in in Business, Finance, Accounting, Mathematics or Economics 
    • Coding skills in SQL or similar or data analytics experience
