    Seeking experienced Commercial Banking professional with proven ability to acquire and develop new client relationships to support Axos Bank’s deposit and fee income growth goals.  Preferred candidates will have business acquisition and cash/treasury management experience in one or more of the following segments: C&I, Bio, Fintech, Third-Party payment Processors, Healthcare, NFP, Private Schools and other specialty deposit rich sectors.

    • Pro-actively solicit new client relationships with middle market companies ($10 million plus in annual revenues), with emphasis on the following industries: C&I, Bio, Fintech, Third-Party payment Processors, Healthcare, NFP, Private Schools and other specialty deposit rich sectors
    • Strong business acumen and understanding of client operations
    • Capable of delivering appropriate cash/treasury management solutions
    • Possess sound judgment and acute critical thinking skills in order to use independent discretion in making relationship management decisions that balance client needs with bank business objectives (i.e., maintaining and growing relationships)
    • Responsible for outbound sales activity: direct calling, networking activities, outbound phone calls, e-mail, trade conferences, appropriate social media
    • Actively cross-selling appropriate banking solutions to new and existing clients. Actively manage portfolio for growth, risk mitigation, referral opportunity and retention
    • Work effectively with Marketing to develop, launch and manage targeted sales campaigns
    • Maintain current contact and client data records in Salesforce
    • Continually monitor practices of competitors and report findings to management, when appropriate
    • Develop a referral network of industry professionals

    • Proven ability to acquire expand existing and grow new business relationships, driven by strong relationship management and prospecting skills
    • Strong sales acumen
    • Effective and professional written and verbal communication skills
    • Ability to multitask & prioritize effectively
    • Sound judgment and acute critical thinking skills that support independent discretion and decision-making ability (with guidance from supervisor)
    • Strong knowledge of bank compliance, including BSA
    • Word, PowerPoint and Excel proficient
    • Positive attitude, a “possibilities” thinker
    • Collaborative team player
    • Organized, with appropriate attention to detail
    • Self-starter, accountable for performance and decision-making, with ability to work with little supervision
    • Quick, risk-based thinking within guidelines of bank policy

    Desired Career Experience & Education Requirements:

    • 5+ years sales development and client relationship experience
    • Effective written and verbal communication skills
    • Compliance & BSA knowledge
    • Working knowledge of computer and programs, including CRM & contact management software
    • Bachelor’s Degree in business, finance, or related field preferred or equivalent industry work experience 

    Preferred:

    • Account analysis and cash/treasury management
