    Specific job functions for the qualified candidate include but are not limited to:

     

    • Support daily tasks and projects for mid-level and senior analysts
    • Creation and maintenance of SQL reports for use by management and production staff (Tableau, DOMO, Microsoft Report Builder)
    • Identification of areas for operational, sales and marketing efficiency gains
    • Providing administrative support for other analysts, including data mining, analysis and quarterly Management Accountability Packages (MAPs)
    • Ad hoc reporting for other business units as warranted
    • Constant investigation and inquiry into all areas of BofI’s commercial lending groups
    • Work to build out Bank infrastructure utilizing best practices and resources, both internal and external
    • Maintenance of commercial lending processes and procedures for internal controls
    • Developing relationships to enhance your knowledge of commercial banking, driving departmental synergy

    Key Skill Sets or Knowledge Requirements:

    • Experience researching complex problems and arriving at a viable solution
    • Basic knowledge and understanding of commercial lending channels and practices (e.g. construction lending, income property lending, small balance commercial)
    • Intermediate to advanced knowledge of SQL coding language a plus
    • Basic knowledge of Business Intelligence tools (Tableau, SSIS)
    • Advanced knowledge in Microsoft Excel, including but not limited to data transformation, functions/expressions, VBA, Macros
    • Capacity for advanced problem solving and critical thinking
    • Familiarity with business cycles, both fiscal and calendar
    • Experience modeling complex datasets in order to resolve an outstanding problem
    • Participation in outside case studies or external projects

    Desired Career Experience & Education Requirements:

    • Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Economics, Accounting, Statistics or related course experience in math / statistics / computer science / accounting or related
    • New grads considered

    Preferred:

    • Over 2+ years working in office environment
    • Experience in the financial services / banking industry
